Description
The many-headed naga (serpent) named Kaliya threatened the inhabitants of Vrindavan. To punish the creature, Krishna danced playfully on top of his many heads until the naga’s wives begged for mercy.
His right hand is raised in the abhaya mudra of protection while His other hand holds Kaliya’s tail.
