Description
Kumkum is a pure red powder used for puja and other Hindu rituals. Can be used dry or wet.
Mixed with water, it turns into a paste which is then used to make a mark on the feet, hands, forehead and weapons of the deity of the puja. Also used for making a ’tilak’ or spiritual symbol worn on the forehead, usually to stand for Maha-Lakshmi, Devi, or the shakti force in creation.
