Description
Lord Narasimha is the half-man/half-lion avatar of the Supreme Lord. Although He can appear ferocious, He is actually very sweet and merciful to all who are surrendered to Him.
This murti’s detailed carving features Lord Narasimha in His calm form. His right hand is raised in abhaya mudra and His left arm is embracing Maha-Lakshmi. He is holding the Conch and Chakra in His upper arms. Maha-Lakshmi is seated on His lap and is holding a lotus in Her right hand.
Lord Narasimha protects the devotees during times of need and bestows power and victory upon them. Maha-Lakshmi bestows spiritual wealth, abundance and material fortune.
